Thai Manufacturing Sector Picks Up Steam In October - S&P Global

11/02/2025 - 20:00:00 (RTTNews)

(RTTNews) - The manufacturing sector in Thailand continued to expand in October, and at a faster rate, the latest survey from S&P Global revealed on Monday with a manufacturing PMI score of 56.6.

That's up from 54.6 in September and it moves further above the boom-or-bust line of 50 that separates expansion from contraction.

Central to the latest acceleration in the pace of growth were stronger new business inflows. Incoming new orders rose at the steepest rate in two-and-a-half years amid reports of successful business development and rising client interests. Although external demand further deteriorated, the rate at which new export orders fell was softer than in September and only marginal.

In response to rising new work inflows, production growth accelerated for a seventh successive month in October. Thai manufacturers also raised their workforce capacity for the second month in a row to cope with rising workloads.
