Singapore Non-Oil Domestic Exports Rise 6.9%

(RTTNews) - Singapore's non-oil domestic exports recovered strongly in September, data from Enterprise Singapore showed Friday.

Non-oil domestic exports climbed 6.9 percent year-over-year in September, reversing an 11.5 percent plunge in the previous month. Moreover, this was the first increase in three months.

The growth in September was primarily driven by electronics, which surged 30.4 percent on the back of higher exports of ICs, PCs, and disk media products.

Outflows of non-electronic products rose 0.4 percent, in contrast to a 6.5 percent fall a month ago, as non-monetary gold and specialized machinery rose by 82.7 percent and 14.1 percent, respectively.
