Japan Trade Data Due On Wednesday

04/21/2026 - 18:04:00 (RTTNews)

(RTTNews) - Japan will on Wednesday release March figures for imports, exports and trade balance, highlighting a modest day for Asia-Pacific economic activity.

Imports are expected to rise 7.1 percent on year, easing from 10.3 percent in February. Exports are called higher by an annual 11.0 percent, up from 4.0 percent in the previous month. The trade surplus is pegged at 1.106 trillion yen, up from 44.3 billion yen a month earlier.

The central bank in Indonesia will wrap up its monetary policy meeting and then announce its decision on interest rates; the benchmark lending rate (4.75 percent), deposit facility rate (3.75 percent) and the lending facilities rate (5.50 percent) are all expected to be unchanged.
