Taiwan's Industrial Production Growth Accelerates In November

(RTTNews) - Taiwan's industrial production grew at a faster pace in November, data from the Ministry of Economic Affairs revealed Wednesday.

Industrial output climbed 7.84 percent year-on-year, faster than the 6.44 percent increase seen in October.

Manufacturing output climbed 8.19 percent and mining and quarrying production grew 6.31 percent. At the same time, electricity and gas supply gained 4.61 percent and water supply output rose 1.96 percent.

On a monthly basis, industrial production was up 1.40 percent in November.

Another report from the ministry showed that retail sales increased 2.5 percent annually in November, but slower than the 3.3 percent increase logged in October.
