Taiwan Export Orders Rise 15.2% In July

(RTTNews) - Taiwan's export orders increased for the sixth successive month in July, according to data released by the Ministry of Economic Affairs on Wednesday.

Export orders rose 15.2 percent year-over-year in July, though much slower than the 24.6 percent surge in June.

Orders for electronic products grew the most, by 24.8 percent, and those of information and communication products increased by 15.5 percent. Meanwhile, orders for plastics, rubber, and related articles dropped by 10.3 percent.

On a monthly basis, export orders rebounded 1.5 in July versus a 2.0 percent decline in June.

In New Taiwan dollar terms, export orders rose 3.5 percent annually and by 0.3 percent monthly in July.
