Sweden Producer Prices Rise 0.4%

(RTTNews) - Producer prices in Sweden increased for the second straight month in October amid higher costs for energy-related products, data from Statistics Sweden showed on Tuesday.

The producer price index rose 0.4 percent year-on-year in October, following a 0.5 percent decrease in September.

Prices for energy-related products alone grew sharply by 15.2 percent from last year. Meanwhile, prices for consumer and capital goods declined 0.7 percent and 1.1 percent, respectively.

Excluding energy-related products, the producer price index decreased 1.6 percent from last year.

On a monthly basis, producer prices rebounded 0.4 percent, following a 0.7 percent decrease in September.
