South Korea March Trade Surplus $25.74 Billion

(RTTNews) - South Korea posted a seasonally adjusted merchandise trade surplus of $25.74 billion in March, the Customs Office said on Wednesday.

That beat expectations for a surplus of $21.20 billion and was up sharply from $15.38 billion in February.

Exports surged 48.3 percent on year, topping forecasts for an increase of 44.9 percent and up from 28.7 percent in the previous month.

Imports climbed an annual 13.2 percent versus expectations for a gain of 18.0 percent but still up from 7.5 percent a month earlier.
