South Korea Inflation Rises 0.3% In October

11/03/2025 - 18:30:00 (RTTNews)

(RTTNews) - Consumer prices in South Korea were up a seasonally adjusted 0.3 percent on month in October, Statistics Korea said on Tuesday.

That exceeded expectations for a flat reading following the 0.5 percent increase in September.

On a yearly basis, inflation rose 2.4 percent - again exceeding expectations for an increase of 2.1 percent, which would have been unchanged from the September reading.

Core CPI was up 0.4 percent on month and 2.2 percent on year after adding 0.5 percent on month and 2.0 percent on year in the previous month.
