South Korea Export Prices Sink 0.6% In February

(RTTNews) - Export prices in South Korea were down 0.6 percent on month in February, the Bank of Korea said on Friday - after rising 1.3 percent in January.

Export prices were up 6.3 percent on year, easing from 8.6 percent in the previous month.

Individually, export prices for agricultural, forestry and marine product were down 0.4 percent on month and up 2.6 percent on year.. Prices for manufacturing products fell 0.5 percent on month and added 6.4 percent on year.

Import prices were down 0.8 percent on month after climbing 2.2 percent in January. They were up 4.6 percent on year, moderating from 6.5 percent a month earlier.

Individually, import prices for raw materials lost 2.3 percent on month and gained 1.8 percent on year, while intermediate goods eased 0.2 percent on month and jumped 6.5 percent on year and capital goods added 0.3 percent on month and 5.3 percent on year.
