New Zealand Q2 Inflation Rises 1.5% In Q2

(RTTNews) - Overall consumer prices in New Zealand were up a seasonally adjusted 1.5 percent on quarter in the second quarter of 2026, Statistics New Zealand said on Monday - accelerating from 0.9 percent in the three months prior.

Higher quarterly prices were recorded for petrol, other vehicle fuels and lubricants and housing, while lower prices were observed for fruit and domestic accommodation services.

On a yearly basis, inflation climbed 4.1 percent - up from 3.1 percent in the previous quarter.

Higher annual prices were recorded for petrol, electricity and other vehicle fuels, while lower prices were seen for oil and fats and rea estate services.
