Japan Machine Tool Orders Surge 50.4%

(RTTNews) - Japan's machine tool order growth remained sharp in July, though the rate of increase eased since June, preliminary data from the Japan Machine Tool Builders Association, or JMTBA, showed on Tuesday.
Machine tool orders expanded 50.4 percent year-on-year in July, following a 52.7 percent jump in the previous month. Orders have been rising since July 2025.
Domestic orders grew 50.2 percent from last year, and foreign demand was 50.5 percent higher.
On a monthly basis, orders decreased 5.1 percent in July, reversing a 14.9 percent rise in the prior month.
