Japan Household Spending Data Due On Friday

(RTTNews) - Japan will on Friday release June figures for household spending, highlight a light day for Asia-Pacific economic activity. Spending is seen lower by 3.1 percent on month and higher by 0.8 percent on year after rising 3.7 percent on month and falling 0.4 percent on year in May.

Japan also will see preliminary June results for its leading and coincident indexes; in May, the leading index was down 0.2 percent on month and the coincident was up 0.4 percent.

Taiwan will provide July numbers for imports, exports and trade balance. In June, imports surged 51.8 percent on year and exports rallied 40.3 percent for a trade surplus of $12.20 billion.
