Finland Producer Price Inflation Rises To 6.9%

08/24/2026 - 04:19:00 (RTTNews)

(RTTNews) - Finland's producer price inflation accelerated somewhat in July after easing in the previous month, data from Statistics Finland showed on Monday.

The producer price index climbed 6.9 percent year-on-year in July, faster than the 6.7 percent rise in June. Prices have been rising since January.

The rise in the producer prices was particularly caused by higher prices of refined petroleum products and basic metals, the agency said.

On the other hand, the increase in prices was curbed, especially by the decrease in prices of electricity and paper and paper products.

The annual price growth in manufactured products quickened to 7.6 percent in July from 5.8 percent in May, while that in mining and quarrying moderated to 11.9 percent from 14.9 percent. Data showed that the price index for utilities logged a renewed fall of 4.2 percent.

On a monthly basis, producer prices rebounded 0.1 percent after falling 0.7 percent in June.
