Eurozone Jobless Rate Stable At 6.3%

(RTTNews) - The euro area unemployment rate remained unchanged in April, data from Eurostat revealed Monday.

The jobless rate stood at 6.3 percent, unchanged from March as well as with April 2025.

The rate was expected to remain stable at March's initially estimated figure of 6.2 percent.

The number of people out of work decreased 84,000 from the prior month to 11.075 million. Compared to last year, unemployment increased 45,000.

The youth unemployment rate declined to 14.7 percent in April from 15.1 percent in March. The number of jobless people fell by 50,000 from March. Data showed that the EU unemployment rate was also unchanged at 6.0 percent in April. Unemployment decreased by 137,000 from March.
