China Loan Prime Rate Due On Monday

(RTTNews) - The People's Bank of China will on Monday announce its decision on its loan prime rate for September, highlighting a light day for Asia-Pacific economic activity. The loan rate is expected to be unchanged at 3.50 percent.

Singapore will release unemployment data for the second quarter of 2026, with forecasts suggesting no change from the Q1 jobless rate at 2.0 percent.

New Zealand will see August figures for credit card spending; in July, spending was up 5.3 percent on year.

Finally, the markets in Japan are closed until Thursday for Respect For The Aged Day and the Autumn Equinox.
