Brazil Producer Prices Continue To Rise

01/07/2025 - 08:58:00 (RTTNews)

(RTTNews) - Brazil's producer prices increased for the tenth straight month in November, figures from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics, or IBGE, showed on Tuesday.

The producer price index rose 1.23 percent month-over-month in November, following a 0.97 percent increase in the previous month.

The upward trend was largely driven by a continued rise in prices in the food sector, which grew 2.09 percent over the month.

Among major economic categories, prices in the capital goods segment increased by 1.52 percent, and those in the consumer goods sector grew by 1.16 percent.

On a yearly basis, producer prices climbed at an accelerated pace of 7.59 percent versus a 5.92 percent rise in October.
