Pound Rises Against Majors

(RTTNews) - The British pound strengthened against other major currencies in the European session on Monday.

The pound rose to 5-day highs of 0.8687 against the euro and 209.69 against the yen, from early lows of 0.8700 and 208.50, respectively.

Against the U.S. dollar and the Swiss franc, the pound advanced to 4-day highs of 1.3662 and 1.0509 from early lows of 1.3636 and 1.0478, respectively.

If the pound extends its uptrend, it is likely to find resistance around 0.84 against the euro, 211.00 against the yen, 1.39 against the greenback and 1.07 against the franc.
