Swiss Unemployment Rate Remains Stable In August

(RTTNews) - Switzerland's unemployment rate remained stable in August, data from the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs showed Friday.

The jobless rate held steady at seasonally adjusted 3.2 percent in August, in line with expectations.

The number of unemployed increased by 1,652 from previous month to 135,578 in August.

On an unadjusted basis, the unemployment rate was 3 percent, the same as in July.

The youth unemployment rate climbed to 3.4 percent in August from 2.8 percent in the previous month.
