Swiss Investor Confidence Rises In September

(RTTNews) - Optimism among Swiss financial analysts improved in September from the previous month, survey data from the investment bank Credit Suisse and the CFA Society Switzerland showed Wednesday.

The Credit Suisse CFA Society Switzerland Indicator that reflects expectations of financial analysts for the economy in the coming six months, rose to 28.0 in September from 25.0 in August.

About 32 percent of those surveyed expect a further improvement and 64 percent no change in the economic situation in Switzerland in the next six months. Nearly 36 percent said the present economic situation is "good."

Further, the share of analysts expecting the CHF to depreciate against the EUR has risen to 36 percent from 21 percent in the previous month. However, 28 percent expect an appreciation of the CHF versus the EUR.

Fifty percent of all those surveyed are now expecting the price of gold to fall in the next six months, up from just 10 percent in August.
