Latvia Q2 Growth Less Than Estimated Earlier

(RTTNews) - Latvia's economy expanded in the second quarter less than initially estimated, figures from the Central Statistical Bureau showed Thursday.

Gross domestic product grew a seasonally and calendar-adjusted 1.2 percent from the previous three months, which was slower than the 1.3 percent increase reported earlier. In the first quarter, the economy expanded a revised 1.7 percent.

Compared to a year ago, GDP rose 4.8 percent in the three months to June, which was same as in the previous quarter. In the first quarter, the economy grew 4.1 percent.

On an unadjusted basis, the annual growth was 4 percent in the second quarter.
