France's Q3 GDP To Expand 0.5%: BoF

(RTTNews) - France's economy is expected to grow at a slightly faster than previously estimated pace in the third quarter, survey results from Bank of France showed Monday.

Gross domestic product is forecast to climb 0.5 percent in the third quarter, which was revised up from 0.4 percent.

The business confidence index in manufacturing rose to 105 in September from 103 in August.

According to the survey, industrial output was strong across the board, except in automobile and metal industries. Overall, business leaders expect industrial activity to continue to grow at least at the same pace in October.

The sentiment indicator in services improved to 103 from 102 in August.

The survey showed that the services activity continued to grow rapidly in September. Leaders forecast service sector activity to accelerate in October.

At the same time, the business sentiment index in construction came in at 105 in September, up from 104 in August. However, construction activity is expected to grow at a slower pace in October.
