European Economics Preview: Eurozone Unemployment, Inflation Data Due

(RTTNews) - Unemployment and inflation from euro area are due on Wednesday, headlining a light day for the European economics news.

At 4.00 am ET, unemployment data is due from Italy. Economists forecast the jobless rate to drop to 11 percent in February from 11.1 percent in January.

In the meantime, Poland's consumer prices are due. Inflation is expected to rise to 1.7 percent in March from 1.4 percent in February.

Half an hour later, IHS Markit is set to release UK construction Purchasing Managers' survey data. The indicator is seen at 51 in March versus 51.4 in February.

At 5.00 am ET, Eurostat is slated to issue euro area unemployment and inflation figures for March. Inflation is forecast to rise to 1.4 percent in March from 1.2 percent in February.

The euro area jobless rate is seen at 8.5 percent in February, down from 8.6 percent in January.
