European Economics Preview: Eurozone Final Composite PMI Data Due

(RTTNews) - Composite Purchasing Managers' survey and retail sales are due from Eurozone, headlining a busy day for the European economic news.

At 1.45 am ET, the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs is set to release Swiss GDP data. The economy is forecast to grow 0.5 percent sequentially in the second quarter after rising 0.3 percent in the first quarter.

At 2.30 am ET, Sweden's services PMI data is due.

At 3.00 am ET, retail sales from the Czech Republic and Hungary and consumer prices from Turkey are due. In the meantime, PMI data from Turkey is also due.

At 3.15 am ET, Switzerland's consumer price data is due. Economists forecast inflation to rise to 0.5 percent in August from 0.3 percent in July.

Also, Spain's services PMI data is due. The index is expected to fall to 57 in August from 57.6 in July.

At 3.45 am ET, IHS Markit release Italy's services PMI data. The index is seen at 55.5 in August, down from 56.3 in July. Thereafter, final PMI figures are due from France and Germany.

At 4.00 am ET, Eurozone final composite PMI data is due. The PMI reading is expected to match the flash score of 55.8 in August.

Half an hour later, IHS Markit is set to release UK services PMI data. Economists forecast the index to fall to 53.5 in August from 53.8 in July.

At 5.00 am ET, Eurozone retail sales data is due. Sales are forecast to fall 0.5 percent on month in July, in contrast to a 0.5 percent rise in June.
