BRAZIL: Foreign Exchange Flow Positive At US$ 4.712 Billion Through June 8

(RTTNews) - The balance between the inflow and outflow of U.S. dollars in Brazil was positive at US$ 4.712 billion in June until the 8th, resulting in a trade surplus of US$ 1.821 billion and a positive cash flow of US$ 2.891 billion, according to data released by the country's Central Bank.

The trade balance result corresponds to exports of US$ 5.146 billion and imports of US$ 3.325 billion. The balance of the cash flow is a result of US$ 14.878 billion in purchases and US$ 11.986 billion in sales in foreign currency.

Year-to-date, the foreign exchange flow was positive at US$ 23.528 billion, resulting from a surplus of US$ 28.768 billion in the trade balance and a deficit of US$ 5.239 billion in the financial result. In the same period of last year, the balance was positive at US$ 10.257 billion.
