BRAZIL: Economists Keep Estimate For 2017 GDP Unchanged At 0.60%

(RTTNews) - Economists surveyed by the Brazilian central bank kept their forecasts for economic growth in 2017 unchanged at 0.60%, after three consecutive upwards revisions. For 2018, the median forecast for GDP growth was raised for the second week in a row, to 2.20%, from 2.10% last week.

Projections for Brazil's debt-to-GDP ratio in 2017 was raised to 52.10%, from 52.05% last week, while for 2018 forecasts increased to 55.70%, from 55.40% last week.

Projections for Brazilian industrial output growth in 2017 was kept at 1.10%, while for 2018, economists estimates increased to 2.45%, from 2.30% in the previous survey.
