04/25/2017 - 18:00:00 (RTTNews)

(RTTNews) - Australia will on Wednesday release Q1 figures for consumer prices, highlighting a modest day for Asia-Pacific economic activity.

Inflation is expected to have added 0.6 percent on quarter and 2.2 percent on year after rising 0.5 percent on quarter and 1.5 percent on year in the three months prior.

The RBA's trimmed mean and weighted median are both called higher by 0.5 percent on quarter and 1.8 percent on year after adding 0.4 percent on quarter and 1.6 percent on year in the previous three months.

New Zealand will provide credit card spending data for March; in February, spending was down 1.4 percent on month and up 5.3 percent on year.

Japan will see February results for its all industry activity index, plus April numbers for small business confidence.

The activity index is expected to add 0.6 percent on month after gaining 0.1 percent in January. The business confidence index is expected to see a score of 49.4, down from 50.5 in March.

Singapore will release March numbers for industrial production; in February, production was down 3.7 percent on month and up 12.6 percent on year.
