ARGENTINA: Budget Bill For 2018 Projects 3.5% GDP Growth

09/04/2017 - 22:10:00 (RTTNews)

(RTTNews) - Argentina's budget bill for 2018 anticipates an economic growth of around 3.5% and an inflation rate of 10%, within the central bank's target range for the next year, the Télam's official news agency said on Monday.

Also, the bill to be presented to the Argentinean Congress on September 15 takes into account a fiscal deficit of 3.2% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and new subsidy cuts to utility tariffs.

For the next few days, Finance Minister Nicolás Dujovne and Mauricio Macri's chief-of-staff Marcos Peña will remain in contact with government ministries for the final changes to the bill.

Alongside the budget bill, the national government will send a Fiscal Responsibility bill agreed with the provinces in August to achieve balance in public accounts.
