NZ Dollar Rises Against Majors

06/19/2017 - 00:46:00 (RTTNews)

(RTTNews) - The New Zealand dollar strengthened against the other major currencies in the Asian session on Monday.

The NZ dollar rose to more than a 3-1/2-month high of 81.02 against the yen and nearly a 2-month high of 1.5341 against the euro, from Friday's closing quotes of 80.35 and 1.5439, respectively.

Against the U.S. and the Australian dollars, the kiwi advanced to a 5-day high of 0.7298 and a 4-day high of 1.0447 from last week's closing quotes of 0.7247 and 1.0506, respectively.

If the kiwi extends its uptrend, it is likely to find resistance around 83.00 against the yen, 1.49 against the euro, 0.74 against the greenback and 1.03 against the aussie.
